I’ve been drinking a cup of lemon verbena tea every day for the last week. The lemon-y taste is really refreshing and a mood lifter. Plus, it’s so easy to make.
Start with one sprig of the herb.
Pluck the individual leaves from the stem, discarding any that are brown or otherwise discolored.
Bring two cups of water to a boil in a pot. Once the water is boiling, place the leaves in the water, and remove from heat. Let the leaves steep in the covered pot for about 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the leaves before drinking. The tea turns a glowing yellow that invigorates mind and spirit.
