Winter Crop

Finally got those winter seeds planted. It was on my to-do list for weeks and I was finally able to make the time. Pictured here are peas and winter squash. I have two other flats with lettuces and various other greens, but none have sprouted yet.

I am hoping for a successful winter season. Definitely had some hits and misses with the summer plants. The intense and prolongued heat had something to do with the failures and successes. The peppers did the best out of everyone and are still producing. Tomatoes are mostly gone but I think we’ll get a few more cucumbers.

Looking forward to fall and winter. It’s getting darker earlier and the days are slowly cooling off. Curious to see what October has in store.
