This Week in the Garden

We’ve been eating quite a bit of basil this week: on pizzas, in sandwiches, and mixed into salads. I will try making basil oil soon, which is supposed to be good for chicken and pasta dishes.

The tomatoes are almost gone. The last of them are turning red and therefore also making their appearance in pizza and salads. It was my first year ever having a successful tomato crop. Fingers crossed for next summer.

The cucumbers are amazing. Very productive and producing enough for two salads per day. Stay tuned for a recipe for Asian Cucumber Salad next week.
